Late November Mountain Biking on Mt. Diablo
Because the weather has been so nice (i.e., 70+ degrees, blue skies), I couldn't resist a mid/late fall mountain bike ride up Mt. Diablo. It's pretty much the same route I've taken a number of times (which is why there are pictures elsewhere on this page that look very similar) but it was particularly nice today. Not only was my bike in better condition (I replaced the awful WTB 2.1 NanoRaptors with IRC 2.25 Trail Bears, which made a HUGE positive difference), there was that smell of fall in the air (burning leaves, crisp air, etc.) and an incredible silence. So without further bad prose, I present today's pictures of Mt Diablo mountain biking. I'll explain the first two pictures and then leave the rest to your imagination.
Here's the view of where I start looking up towards Mt. Diablo. It takes me an hour to ride from this area to the top of the mountain (and remember, click on the pictures to get the full size images).

And here's the view from the top, looking down at my housing area.

And now, the rest of the pictures from today's ride...
